| 10 OSU Fundamentals According to a Sophomore |
|
|
Okay, by Sophomore year, the unfamiliar is now the familiar and I am beginning to understand what tools I need to survive here. There are some things that you just have to learn by experience...
- Bike paths are perilous roads....pedestrians dare not tread on them for fear of losing their lives.
- Scheduling your first class of the day to coincide with your sleeping pattern is very important...8:30 a.m. classes suddenly seem like a very bad idea.
- Cowboy basketball is life.
- Life outside of the residence halls is worth experiencing.
- The word ‘free’ is music to the ears of any student.
- Going to bed before 1 a.m. is a waste of precious time.
- If you can’t buy it on meal plan or bursar, you probably won’t buy it.
- During finals week, the Student Union serves the best, free <<music to your ears>> pancakes with lots of bonus toppings. It almost makes finals worth it…almost.
- High school is nothing more than a distance memory…tear.
- General education classes were invented by someone far more well-rounded than the average college student…special place in hell for that guy.
